SECURE SENSE OF SELF addresses known curriculum gaps - particularly around puberty, menstrual cycle literacy, identity development, bodily autonomy and navigating health systems - while reinforcing all Respectful Relationships priorities. Our signature strength lies in going beyond cognitive learning to integrate somatic, identity-based and developmentally attuned education. This deeper, whole-child approach supports students to understand themselves more fully, navigate change with confidence, and strengthen wellbeing outcomes across the school community.

Yes. All students participate in our foundational menstruation sessions because understanding how bodies function - including menstruation - is an important part of developing empathy, respect and body literacy across the whole school community. This shared learning helps reduce stigma, builds inclusive peer relationships and supports a more informed and respectful culture.
We also provide an optional, closed “deeper dive” session for students who menstruate or will menstruate. This creates a safe and comfortable space for more specific questions, practical guidance and personal discussion.

SECURE SENSE OF SELF programs are designed to enhance and extend what schools already deliver — not replace it.
We build on your existing puberty or wellbeing sessions by adding deeper learning in areas schools often don’t have time or capacity to cover, including menstrual cycle literacy, emotional wellbeing, boundaries, digital safety, and navigating health systems. Our programs are curriculum-aligned, trauma-aware and fully inclusive of all genders.
We also relieve pressure on staff by providing ready-to-deliver, high-quality sessions that require no preparation from teachers. In short: we complement your current program, strengthen your Respectful Relationships delivery, and fill the gaps schools commonly identify.
